TRIPLE PROTECTION AGAINST OVEREXPOSURE TO FAR-UVC

 

Filtered far-UVC light is extremely safe for people: Exposure to a germicidal level of filtered far-UVC light for 25,000 hours causes less damage to human cells than 10 minutes under the sun on a typical day. Over the past decade, national standard-setting bodies have adopted Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) for human exposure to far-UVC over an 8 hour period, with one limit for skin (479 mj/cm2) and a lower limit for eyes (161 mj/cm2).

 

Mynatek MLT3 Fixtures use machine vision to detect the location of room occupants’ heads, and then adjust the level of far-UVC output to ensure that no occupant receives more than lower (eye) TLV limit.

 

In addition to using machine vision to detect the location of people, Mynatek D3 Fixtures employ an additional, high-precision detector that provides a separate measurement of the distance to room occupants. All far-UVC lamps are shut off if any occupant is determined to be closer than 1M from the Fixture. Mynatek D3 Fixtures also have a dedicated fail-safe hardware control that shuts off power to all lamps if a software error is detected.

Mynatek Fixtures do not use or store any personally identifiable information. Data from the stereoscopic cameras is processed and immediately discarded within the Fixtures. No images can leave the Fixtures.
